Summary One Against Many ()

A scientist is faced with a difficult decision. A man devoted to saving lives, he may be forced to kill in order to prevent a state-wide livestock epidemic.

Internationally known scientist, Dr. John R. Mohler, devoted his life to development of the livestock industry as head of the Agriculture Department's Bureau of Animal Industries. To avoid a statewide epidemic of "hoof and mouth" disease in California, he was forced to advocate the destruction of over 100-thousand head of cattle. When the campaign ended, and the possible epidemic seemed thwarted, another outbreak occurs from a different source. This time, a whole new part of the population resists until it realizes the impact the disease poses to the State's economy.
